Licensed Insolvency Practitioner

Kevin Davies is a licensed insolvency practitioner and leads Principle Insolvency. He acts as liquidator, receiver and administrator, and specialises in large and complex insolvency assignments. He is a member of the Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association of New Zealand (RITANZ) and is licensed by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Kevin brings a long and successful business career to the firm, with particular strengths in communication, negotiation and management, and works with directors, creditors and advisers throughout New Zealand.

Of Ngātiwai and Ngāti Porou descent, Kevin is committed to helping people close businesses with mana and face the future with greater confidence.

Rob Davies is an Insolvency Director with Principle Insolvency Limited Partnership, where he leads the firm's most complex corporate insolvency engagements, working closely with the firm's licensed insolvency practitioner across liquidations, receiverships and voluntary administrations. Rob directs investigation strategy, oversees statutory reporting to creditors, and leads the pursuit of voidable transaction and director-conduct matters, including referrals for prohibition orders.

His experience extends to the practical realisation of assets, including the successful repossession and sale of secured property and other assets on behalf of creditors, as well as the operation of businesses placed into receivership or liquidation pending sale as a going concern. Rob also manages key creditor and stakeholder relationships, supervises the firm's insolvency team, and maintains the firm's compliance and independence framework in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.

Insolvency Analyst

Liam Whitburn supports the firm's licensed insolvency practitioner across liquidations, receiverships and other insolvency assignments. His work includes financial investigations, statutory reporting, reconstructing bank accounts and liaising with creditors, helping to guide companies and their stakeholders through the insolvency process.

Liam is also the firm's Chief Technology Officer and is passionate about the productivity that artificial intelligence can bring to insolvency work.
